Content Approval

Content approval is the workflow step where a client reviews and signs off on drafted content before it is published - a critical process for ghostwriting and agency relationships.

Content approval processes exist on a spectrum from fully synchronous (client reviews every post before scheduling) to fully autonomous (the agency or AI publishes without client review). Most professional ghostwriting relationships operate somewhere between: the client reviews a week's batch of posts in one sitting, with a defined SLA (e.g., 48-hour review window) and a default "approve and publish if no response" rule.

The key design decisions for a content approval workflow: (1) frequency (review per post, per week, per month?), (2) format (Google Doc? dedicated platform? email thread?), (3) feedback protocol (can the client redline directly or do they submit revision requests?), (4) default behavior if the client doesn't respond in time, and (5) what happens to unapproved content.

For agencies managing multiple clients, a centralized approval platform dramatically reduces the overhead of chasing approvals via email. Creator's delivery hub provides a dedicated approval view per client, with notification triggers, version history, and inline comment capability - reducing the average approval cycle from 4 days (email) to 1 day.
