Click-Through Rate (CTR): Click-through rate is the percentage of people who saw a post or link and clicked it. a direct measure of how compelling the call to action is.

Booking Rate: Booking rate is the percentage of DM conversations or outreach sequences that result in a scheduled discovery call or meeting - a key conversion metric between DM and calendar.
Bottom of Funnel (BOFU): Bottom of funnel is the decision stage. prospects who already know your brand and are evaluating whether to buy.
Closing Rate: Closing rate is the percentage of qualified sales conversations (discovery calls, proposals, or presentations) that result in a signed contract or payment - a core metric for sales process health.
Cold DM: A cold DM is a LinkedIn direct message sent to a prospect who has had no prior engagement with the sender - no content interaction, no existing connection, no shared context.
Cold Outreach: Cold outreach is contacting a prospect who has had no prior relationship or interaction with the sender. typically via cold email, cold DM, or cold call.

DM Sequence: A DM sequence is a series of LinkedIn direct messages sent to a prospect over time, typically triggered by a specific event like a comment or a profile view.

Outbound Lead: An outbound lead is a prospect identified and contacted by the seller rather than one who initiated contact - generated through proactive outreach rather than inbound attraction.
Pipeline Velocity: Pipeline velocity is how quickly leads move through a sales funnel from awareness to close. measured in average days from first touch to signed deal.
Sales Navigator: LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a premium tool with advanced search filters, lead lists, account tracking, and CRM integrations for B2B prospecting.
Sales Qualified Lead (SQL): A Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) is a prospect who has been vetted through a qualification conversation and confirmed to have the budget, authority, need, and timeline to become a paying client.
Social Selling: Social selling is the practice of using social platforms (primarily LinkedIn for B2B) to find, engage, and build trust with prospects before any sales conversation takes place.
Top of Funnel (TOFU): Top of funnel is the awareness stage. anyone who could potentially become a customer but doesn't know your brand yet.
UTM Parameters: UTM parameters are tracking codes appended to a URL that attribute website traffic to a specific source, medium, and campaign - allowing LinkedIn marketers to measure exactly how many visitors and conversions each post or profile link generates.
Value-First Message: A value-first message is a LinkedIn DM that leads with a useful insight, resource, or observation relevant to the recipient - delivering value before making any ask.
Warm DM: A warm DM is a LinkedIn direct message sent after the prospect has already had some form of engagement with the sender - they've commented on a post, downloaded a lead magnet, or otherwise signaled interest.

Profile

About Section: The About section is the summary text below the headline on a LinkedIn profile. up to 2,600 characters and often the first deep read a prospect takes.
Connection Request: A connection request is the LinkedIn invitation one user sends to another to establish a first-degree connection.
