Post Analytics
Post analytics is the per-post performance data available in LinkedIn's native dashboard - showing impressions, reactions, comments, shares, reposts, clicks, and profile views driven by each individual post.
LinkedIn's native post analytics (accessible by clicking "View analytics" on any post) shows: impressions (total views), reactions (broken down by type), comments (count), shares, reposts, click-through rate on any links, and "people who saw this" demographics (job title, industry, location). Creator Mode accounts get access to more detailed breakdowns.
The key metrics to track per post: impressions (distribution health), comment rate (impressions ÷ comments - above 0.5% is strong), profile visit rate (impressions ÷ profile visits - measures ICP conversion), and link clicks if a link was included. Tracking these consistently over time reveals patterns in what content performs and why.
The practical workflow: export or record post performance weekly in a simple spreadsheet. Tag each post by format (text, carousel, video), topic (authority, story, educational, POV), and hook type. After 60 posts, run a simple analysis: which format × topic × hook combinations produce the best outcomes against your key metric (impressions, profile visits, or DM initations)?
