Content Calendar
A content calendar maps out post topics, formats, and publish dates across a set time window. typically 2 to 4 weeks at a time.
A content calendar is a planning layer between strategy and execution. It translates the abstract ("post 4x per week, balance pillars") into concrete daily decisions ("Tuesday: carousel on hook taxonomy, Thursday: personal narrative on agency hiring"). The calendar reduces decision fatigue at the moment of writing, when creative energy should go into the post itself rather than figuring out what to write.
Most effective B2B LinkedIn calendars operate on a 2-week planning horizon: far enough ahead to batch-write content, close enough that planned posts stay timely. The format doesn't matter much. spreadsheet, Notion, or a tool like Creator. what matters is that it's visible and committed to.
A content calendar also serves a diagnostic function. When performance dips, the calendar lets you see what changed: pillar mix, posting frequency, format distribution. Without a calendar, you're pattern-matching on a random history.
