Content Repurposing
Content repurposing is adapting a single piece of content for different formats or platforms. turning one source into multiple distribution points.
Content repurposing multiplies the return on any given piece of research or thinking. A single long-form article can become: a LinkedIn carousel, 3 individual text posts, a short-form video script, a newsletter issue, and a lead magnet. The underlying idea is the same; the format and distribution channel change.
The repurposing hierarchy: start with the highest-effort format (long-form article, podcast episode, video) and work down to lower-effort derivatives. Don't do it in reverse. "I'll write a tweet and expand it to an article" almost never produces the depth that comes from starting long.
On LinkedIn specifically, repurposing also includes re-running old posts. A post from 12 months ago is invisible to 90% of current followers who weren't around then. High-performing evergreen posts can be recycled every 6–12 months with minor updates and will typically perform comparably to the original run.
