Creator Mode
Creator Mode is a LinkedIn account setting that replaces the Connect button with Follow, unlocks analytics, and enables LinkedIn Live and Audio Events.
Creator Mode is a toggle in LinkedIn settings that shifts a profile from "network-first" to "audience-first." When enabled, your default button becomes "Follow" instead of "Connect," which lowers the friction for strangers to subscribe to your content without the commitment of a connection.
The practical effects: follower count becomes a visible metric on your profile; you can add up to 5 topics that appear under your name in search; you unlock access to LinkedIn Live, Audio Events, and a dedicated Newsletters tab; and LinkedIn claims Creator Mode profiles get 30–40% more organic reach than equivalent non-Creator Mode profiles.
Who should enable it: anyone whose primary goal is to grow an audience. If you're a job-seeker or early-stage networker who benefits more from connections than followers, turn it off. For B2B founders who post consistently, turning it on is a no-brainer.
