Free template giveaway post
Post offering a copy-paste template (Notion, Google Doc, spreadsheet, Airtable). Converts well because the value is immediately obvious - a template solves a specific problem the reader already knows they have. Screenshots of the template increase comments 2–3×.
When to use this template
When you have a document your ICP would spend hours building from scratch. The template must have a visual component - screenshots prove the value before anyone reads a word. Set up automated DM delivery before posting. Test the link yourself first.

- {template_type}
- What it is: Notion template, Google Sheet, Airtable base, Google Doc, Notion dashboard. Name the tool - it signals compatibility with the reader's existing workflow.
- {primary_use_case_as_outcome}
- Write as an outcome, not a process. 'onboard every new client in under 2 hours' beats 'manage client onboarding'. The outcome is what makes them want it.
- {time_to_build}
- Time you invested - this anchors the perceived value of the giveaway. '14 months of iteration' or '47 client projects to refine this' frames the template as a hard-won artifact, not something you knocked together.
- {feature_1 through 4}
- List features, not sections. 'Auto-sortable by role with status columns' is a feature. 'Onboarding tab' is a section. Features sell because they describe what the template does. Sections describe what it is.
- {proof_element}
- A result you or a user got from the template. 'Used by 340+ agencies - average time savings: 6 hours per onboarding' or 'What our top-performing clients use every week.'
- {keyword}
- Single, memorable word. TEMPLATE, SEND, SYSTEM, YES, COPY.
Worked example
I use this exact Notion template to onboard every new client in under 2 hours. It took me 14 months and 40+ onboardings to get it right. You can have it free. What's inside: - Discovery call prep: 7 questions that surface the real brief in 20 minutes - Kick-off checklist: 34 items, auto-sorted by owner and priority - Asset tracker with status columns and a client-visible dashboard view - Milestone sign-off flow with automatic notification triggers Used by 340+ agencies. Average time savings: 6 hours per onboarding. Comment "TEMPLATE" and I'll DM it to you.
How to use it
- 1
Screenshot the template and post it as the first image
Visuals prove value before anyone reads a word. A screenshot of the actual template - not a mockup, not a logo - is the most effective conversion element in this post. Include it as an image, not just described in the copy.
- 2
List features, not sections
Every feature description should answer 'what does this do?' not 'what is this called?' 'Auto-sorted by owner and priority' describes what the feature does. 'Kick-off checklist tab' describes what it is. Features convert. Sections don't.
- 3
Anchor with build time
Tell readers how long it took to build. This is one of the most underused conversion levers in template giveaway posts. '14 months of iteration' reframes the giveaway as a transfer of genuine hard-won value.

Set up instant DM delivery - 60-second rule
A delay of more than 5 minutes between comment and delivery kills the momentum. The person commented in the peak of their interest. Automate delivery so it fires within 60 seconds of the comment. Test before posting.
