Methodology

The hour table is computed, run on 9 September 2026 against the LinkedInPost table using the same within-account method as benchmark_within_sender: each account's own median impressions inside a time window first, then the 25th, 50th and 75th percentile across accounts. The RPC carries no hour parameter, so this cut is written out directly with the identical method rather than estimated.

Publish timestamps are stored in UTC and converted to Europe/Amsterdam local time for this table, because most accounts in the impressions sample publish from Western Europe. A reader in another timezone should read the windows as local to the author, not as absolute clock time.

Inclusion rules: an account needs at least 5 posts inside a window to enter it, and a window needs 10 distinct accounts to be published outright. The 08:00 to 09:59, 10:00 to 11:59 and 14:00 to 16:59 windows clear that. The 06:00 to 07:59 and 12:00 to 13:59 windows are published at a stated lower floor of 7 accounts and labelled directional on the page. The 17:00 to 19:59 and 20:00 to 23:59 windows rest on 4 and 3 accounts and are suppressed.

Impressions are reported by LinkedIn only to the owner of a post, so this sample rests on at most 13 accounts per window, against the 433 accounts behind our engagement benchmarks. Every figure on the page carries its account count for that reason.

This table measures the value of a publishing slot, not traffic at that hour. A post published at 09:00 keeps accumulating impressions all day and into the next, so the number attributed to a window is the lifetime total of posts launched inside it.
